A Different Approach for Local Authorities

MEDICAL NEEDS EDUCATION

SIXTH DAY AND REINTEGRATION PROVISION

SIXTH DAY AND REINTEGRATION PROVISION

When a child’s education is disrupted by physical illness, injury, or medical recovery, ADA Ltd provides a compassionate and flexible learning bridge. We work alongside Local Authority Medical Needs Teams to ensure health challenges do not lead to academic or social isolation.
We provide 1-to-1 or group tuition, alongside therapeutic support if needed, tailored to the pupil’s clinical needs:

  • Hospital-to-Home Transitions: Supporting the move from clinical settings back to home-based learning.
  • Chronic Illness & Post-Surgical Reablement: Flexible scheduling that adapts to "good days," rebuilding cognitive stamina and core academic confidence.
  • Mental Health & Anxiety: Using The STILL Method® and Drawing and Talking to rebuild resilience for pupils facing medical-related trauma or school avoidance.

Why Commission ADA Ltd for Medical Provision?

  • Trauma-Informed & Holistic: We prioritise wellbeing as the foundation for academic progress, understanding the psychological impact of long-term illness.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: We work seamlessly alongside medical professionals, OTs, and SENCOs to align education with clinical recovery plans.
  • Hybrid Delivery: In-home or secure online sessions ensure continuity, even for immunocompromised or bed-bound pupils.
  • Statutory Compliance: We provide the rigorous reporting required for Section 19 Medical Provision, including daily attendance tracking and monthly progress summaries. View our Provider Compliance Pack. Request a Commisioning Quote.

SIXTH DAY AND REINTEGRATION PROVISION

When a permanent exclusion occurs, the clock starts immediately. ADA Ltd specialises in providing high-quality Sixth-Day Provision that ensures Local Authorities meet their legal obligations while immediately stabilising the pupil’s education and wellbeing.

Why Choose ADA Ltd for Sixth-Day Support?
Our focus is on meaningful reintegration rather than "temporary holding." We provide a clear pathway back to success:

  • Rapid Commencement: Subject to capacity, we aim to initiate support within the statutory 5-day window, ensuring no gap in education.
  • Suitability-First Curriculum: A core academic offer (English, Maths, Science) tailored to age and SEND, ensuring pupils remain "school-ready."
  • Initial Assessment: We identify the causal factors of the exclusion, providing the LA with detailed reports to inform next-step placement decisions.
  • Trauma-Informed Stability: Using The STILL Method® and Drawing and Talking to address the emotional fallout of exclusion and prepare for a successful return to a new setting.

Targeted Reintegration & Accountability

  • Multi-Agency Collaboration: We contribute to reintegration meetings and joint transition planning between the home school and new placement.
  • Section 19 Compliance: Designed specifically to help LAs discharge their statutory duty for children "out of school because of exclusion."
  • Rigorous Monitoring: Daily attendance tracking and engagement data provided in strict accordance with KCSIE 2025 standards.
